Indoor soccer

Indoor soccer is the ultimate game of stamina and agility, played on a netted court where the ball never goes out of play.

The pace is fast and frenetic with plenty of goal scoring opportunities and the action is simply non-stop.

This form of the game is a great training aid for regular soccer players, especially in the off-season, where new skills and techniques can be enhanced and developed.

If you’re thinking about trying it out here are a few of the basics:

  1. There are 4 players per team including the goalkeeper on court and multiple substitiutes allowed due to the fast pace.
  2. In mixed competitions, there must always be 2 females on the court at all times.
  3. Each match comprises two 18-minute halves.
  4. The netting means the game is fast and furious and is often used for tactical advantage.
  5. Each goalkeeper has a semi circle surrounding their goal, which all other players must stay out of at al times.
  6. Teams earn 4 points for a win, 2 points for a draw and a bonus 1 point for winning each half.
  7. Team bibs are provided to help distinguish between opposing teams.
